Indigenous Relationships. Practical Capacity. Meaningful Opportunities.
Local Relationships, National Reach and International Capabilities
Indigenous International Trading Group of Canada Ltd. (IITGC) works with First Nations, Métis communities, governments, industry and business partners to turn priorities and opportunities into practical results.
Through our growing presence in British Columbia, IITGC combines Indigenous partnership development with procurement, international supplier access, proposal development, logistics and project implementation capacity.
IITGC is a majority Indigenous-owned Canadian company headquartered in Regina, Saskatchewan. We connect Canadian organizations and Indigenous partners with qualified manufacturers, suppliers, specialized equipment and commercial opportunities in Canada and internationally.
Our work in British Columbia is guided by a simple principle: meaningful relationships should begin early.
When an opportunity may affect a First Nation’s territory or create economic possibilities for Indigenous communities, we believe those communities should have an opportunity to participate in shaping the relationship—not simply be invited into a structure that has already been decided.

Our Approach to Indigenous Partnerships
IITGC seeks to build relationships founded on respect, transparency and practical economic value.
Our approach includes:
• Engaging Nations and Indigenous organizations at an early stage.
• Respecting territorial, cultural and community protocols.
• Listening before proposing a predetermined structure.
• Allowing communities to help define what meaningful participation should look like.
• Identifying opportunities for Indigenous businesses, employment, training, contracting and longer-term commercial participation.
• Bringing credible suppliers, technical partners and implementation capacity to the conversation.
• Protecting the names, relationships and interests of participating communities.
• Following through from initial discussions to practical implementation.
The appropriate structure will differ for every community and opportunity. Our role is to help create the conditions for informed decisions, strong partnerships and results that can be delivered.
